Thank you to everyone who attended West Basin’s Water Harvest S.T.E.A.M. Adventure, an online journey where you can help discover and solve the mystery of our disappearing water supply!

S.T.E.A.M. Activity Supply List

Prep your S.T.E.AM. Adventure supplies before event day to follow along with the activities and experiments from home:

Activity Supply List
Watershed-in-a-Box
  • Shoe box-sized plastic container
  • Couple of sheets of newspaper or other paper that is easily crumpled
  • Spray bottle with water (Optional: blue food coloring)
  • Paper towels for cleanup

Optional:

  • One teaspoon of dried oregano or parsley
  • One teaspoon of coffee grounds
How do You Clean Sewage? Is that Flushable?
  • Toilet paper
  • Flushable wipes
  • Paper towels/Disinfecting wipes
  • Three mason jars with lids or empty, clean, clear pasta sauce jars with lids
  • Water to fill jars
  • Markers to label jars
